What we collect
We only collect what we need. Specifically:
Things you give us directly
- Name, email, business name, URL, and any message text when you fill in the audit or contact form
- Optional information about your role, budget, timeline, or project goals
Things collected automatically
- Anonymised analytics data via Matomo (page views, referring site, approximate country, device type, browser). IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
- Standard server logs (HTTP request, user agent, language, screen size)
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any cross-site advertising trackers.
Why we collect it and our legal basis
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Audit form submissions | Producing and delivering your free audit | Legitimate interest — you requested it |
| Contact form submissions | Replying to your enquiry | Legitimate interest — you initiated contact |
| Anonymised analytics | Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it | Legitimate interest (no personal identifiers stored) |
How long we keep it
- Audit and contact form emails: 24 months, then deleted
- Active client / prospect records (where you've engaged us): for as long as we have a working relationship + 6 years for tax purposes
- Analytics: 14 months rolling, then aggregated
Who sees it
Nobody outside Raven Design sees your data unless we're legally required to share it (court order, Revenue, An Garda Síochána). We don't sell, rent, or trade personal data.
The site runs on Irish-based hosting (webworld.ie / cPanel infrastructure). Matomo analytics is self-hosted on our own server. Email is delivered via Google Workspace; messages are stored within the EU.
