We are surrounded by images of women (and to a lesser extent men) ‘working it’ and throwing shapes for the cameras. These end up in magazines, on billboards and on the TV. Most of them look ridiculous and worst still they all look the same. Only on the rare occasion will you look at these fashion shoots a second time. Spanish Artist Yolanda Dominguez feels the same but went and did something about it. She positioned ordinary women in everyday situations and locations and photographed them throwing angular high fashion shapes. At bus tops, in markets, on the street. Here are the results. And yes, you will want to take a second look.
