I don’t know what we’re going to do when they stop printing newspapers. I love when I’m in a slow mood and pick up last weeks papers and go through the ‘arts and books’ pages and read or even reread old reviews. This is some thing I came across in The Guardian a few Fridays ago. (read the full article HERE)

The article was written by Terry Jones of Monty Python fame and it’s basically a new way to publish books. First there was “get a publisher and they will publish it” – then there was the “nobody wants to publish my book so I’ll publish it myself” and now there’s Unbound.

If you have a book – you upload your pitch on the book and if people like the idea they will pledge money and when you have the full amount gathered Unbound will publish it. The Unbound website is great. The concept is called crowd funding heres how it works:

The image advertising this post is a still from a “movie” I’ve never heard of starring Colin Farrell called “Lovers Unbound” it has nothing to do with Crowd Funding or Unbound – I found it when I went looking for an image for Unbound.
