Last night I went to see Laurie Anderson’s Transitory Life at Triskel Christchurch here in Cork. The venue, a converted church, was ideal for this perfect performance. Here is an excerpt from live at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. This piece from ‘Songs for Amelia Earhart’ is what she played for her encore.

Last night we heard many stories – some meant more than others but I will remember them all in their own way. In one story she said silence = consent and this got me thinking of what’s happening in the world at the moment. We have allowed silence to equal consent so if you’re not happy about something – say something or better still do something about it… anything, even if it is an auld stoopid blog.
