Now that there’s a s-t-r-e-t-c-h in the evenings it’s time to think of outdoorsy things. And for me that means only one thing – Glamping. Since my friend Mary-Jane told me last week, that she was thinking of buying a couple of yurts and opening a Glamping Site, I can think of nothing else. Mind you, before last week I’d never heard of Glamping. This is how they describe the verb ‘to glamp’ over on http://www.wisegeek.com/ “The idea of roughing it during a camping trip might sound appealing if it weren’t for the bugs, wild animals, sudden storms, leaking tents, smelly sleeping bags and questionable food. For a number of people, their first camping experience often becomes their last, but there is now a camping option growing in popularity. Welcome to the world of glamorous camping, otherwise known as glamping.

You can Glamp all over the Globe and now Ireland has woken up to Glamping. There are three Irish Glamping Sites they look amazing: http://goglamping.net/location/europe/ireland/ You can stay in a Mongolian Yurt in Kinsale, a luxury Yurt in Leitrim or spacious tipi on Cape Clear Island off the County Cork Coast.

This is the Glamp Site,

Chleire Haven on Cape Clear.
