It will come as no surprise to some that the artist Ursus Wehrli is Swiss. I know when I first flew into Zurich looking out of the plane the countryside looked as neat as a nun’s dressing table. However, after spending nearly three years there, life on the ground was not all so neat and tidy and most of the Swiss I met were far from the typical “stereotype” – I’m still friends with the same people today – nearly 30 years later.
Wehrli’s new book The Art of Clean Up where he takes a normal photo of a scene from everyday life and cleans it up. He can go a bit overboard as in the example of the pine branch that he rearranged by the size of each needle. Have a look here and see what you think.
